"I am happy, I am healthy.
I am free, I am fair.
I am liberal, I am holistic.
Mind is my guru.
I am learning all the way.
Open is my vision.
Harmony is my mission.
Moon is my star.
Evolution is the key.
Nature is my best friend.
I shall live in tune with nature.
And in nature, shall I dissolve forever."
Self Affirmation is a tool to organize the dormant powers of our mind in a dynamic way. It is necessary that each and every line be understood properly. It is so simple for anybody's grasp: One has to byheart and utter this in silence everyday preferably at the end of a meditation for 20 minutes.
When this is, in silence, implanted into the super conscious mind it works like a potential seed. The seed sprouts, takes root and grows, manifesting the good qualities as mentioned in the text. The beauty is that the negativities are absorbed by the roots in the process. This Self Affirmation can be adopted by anyone who is interested in the well being of himself and humanity as a whole.
There are two things that need a little explanation. One is the concept of mind as Guru. In consideration is virtuous( satvic) mind which is located at the centre of the two eyes in between the two eyebrows. There are many who believe that a living Guru alone can save us and become followers. There are very few truly great living Gurus and therefore it is impossible for everybody to reach them. However every human being deserves emancipation.. Without the Guru, the self referral point within, no other Guru can help us. So if you have the Guru within, you don't need another Guru. All other spiritual activities including being a follower should complement in making our Guru within shine like a star in all radiance.
